英文要約1. International standardization
With the results achieved in the projects of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) , JARI has been actively and strategically involved in the preparation of drafts both in ISO/TC22/SC37/WG1 and SAE FCV Safety TF by making comments in light of the safety regulations for FCV and the hydrogen and electric safety of FCV.
For example, ISO6469-4(FCV Postcrash Safety) harmonized with SAE J1766 was published in 2015. Standardization of onboard hydrogen sensor has just begun and JARI actively and closely participates in the discussion.

2. Safety evaluation for fuel-cell vehicles
(a) Residual strength of the tank exposed by fire
In this study, the residual strength of cooling tank after heating and during heating tank is exposed by fire (flame temperature of 600-800 degrees) were investigated.
(b) Degassing method of hydrogen tank in an emergency
In this study, the safety distance of the order to venting from the pressure release device was examined to establish provisions for gas release from a hydrogen tank of fuel cell vehicles involved in an accident.
(c)Investigation of degassing method - degassing method according to the loosening of connecting
To investigate degassing loosen the connecting portion of the hydrogen pipe, we examined the behavior of hydrogen leaks using a Schlieren equipment in the case of loosening the pipe connecting portion.
3. Scrapped processing
(a)Safety evaluation of venting method
The venting gas testing and the ignition test were examined to investigate the specifications required for the vent from the compressed hydrogen container mounted on the vehicle,.

(3) Safety data acquisition of fuel cell motorcycle
In order to conduct Road Vehicles Act and the development of safety standards relating to the fuel cell motorcycle in the High Pressure Gas Safety Law, maintenance and standard maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen tank and tank accessories of type approval system, following safety evaluation tests has been carried out.
(a)The surrounding effect when the fuel cell motorcycle of pressure relese device is activated.
(b)Safety assessment in the case of leakage of hydrogen fuel cell motorcycle.
