Field Test: A)Stress Check at Work-place (performed by Toshiba / Cybertrust) .Following up from the result of last year’s initial Field Test - involvement by the subjects (to record their own health indicators and follow up on their care menu), maintaining their high motivation, and ideas for inducing strong incentives, were raised as prerequisites to establish a sustainable business model. Also regards to chest adhering type vital sensor(s) - cases where gel pads keep coming off, and stress induced by peeling the seals have been raised as issues to be resolved for maintaining motivation and health awareness by the involved subjects. In order to identify and care for the highly-stressed subjects, 1.improving the disclosure of stress-check results and 2.maintaining the persistent use of the service by the subjects were also considered as necessary. For this year’s Field Test, the aforementioned 1.and 2. conditions will be reflected in the KPI in order to assess and determine the incentive(s) in which businesses will be made to willingly bear the cost(s) for the intended Service. (KPI: Persistent use of service and the disclosure rate of stress-check results.). Interim Results: Persistent usage rate at 70%. Final Results: Data analysis and subsequent business feasibility based on the obtained final results to be completed by end May 2016. B) Health Support System with utilization of Pharmacies (performed by Nuture Networks / Univ. of Occupational and Environmental Health/ Pharmedico Co. Ltd). We conducted an experiment of measuring the distortion of the autonomic balance using the wearable device and tablet by registered dietitian and provided health advices to the customer at 39 drug stores in Kitakyushu City.The experiment is still on going, but approximate 70 people were measured twice at the end of March, 2016. Another experiment we have conducted is for the elderly residence of nursing homes. By Silmee, we visualized their sleeping condition and tested if the advice by pharmacist with the result will help improving them.
Publicity Activities: Standardization and Harmonization Committee: Aiming at industrialization of multifunction and reliable wearable vital signs sensor, this committee organizes (a) Architecture/Software, (b) Wear-ability Improvement, and (C) International Standardized Consideration sub-committees. Actual outcome of this committee throughout this two year national project is a document named "Application and Design Guide of Multi-function and Reliable Wearable Vital Signs Sensor". In 2016, the committee created a virtual vital signs sensor concept which is a common virtual sensor in a cyber space to harmonize variety of physical sensors. The concept and outline of the virtual sensor are included in the guide (draft version) together with a new API specification and next generation BAN (Body Area Network), smart-BAN outline. Summarizing above, progress of this committee is on schedule and major part of the document was drafted. This document is agreed to be expanded for an healthcare IoT applicable document at the latest TC SmartBAN meeting. This discussion will be continued at the next TC SmartBAN meeting in May, 2016. It is also emphasized that above activities will be taken over a new consortium (Human Centric IoT Consortium) and JEITA (Japan Electronics and Information Technology Institute Association) for further improvement, standardization and industrial deployment.
