Execution Item A “DB to Realize the Central Management of Infrastructure Management Data Including Sensing Data”
Following items were carried out in regard to surveys and design/implementation for the purpose of constructing a DB for the central management of infrastructure management data.
(1) Based on survey and analysis of previous study for the road maintenance data model, we summarized in ver. 1 of the Road Management Specification for the Representation of Information that specified 113 classes and 448 instances.
(2) Based on the improvements of API for referencing multiple database tables, the average response time for geographical information searches and searches using attribute values as keys has become 1,240 milliseconds, achieving quantifiable objectives.
(3) We created a prototype that enabled not only the registration, referencing and searching by local governments of their original inspection case study images, but also enabled easy judgments of provision to be made through the simple comparison of inspection photographs and case studies.

Execution Item B “Data Cleansing/Annotation and Processing Technology”
We attempted to detect outlier values using the currently operated database as an example of data cleansing.
In terms of annotation technology, a prototype system was designed and implemented that allows the addition of attribute information metadata to images and videos that record the road condition using input from handwriting recognition and voice recognition.
We developed and evaluated a tool that enabled information to be added by manual operation to multimedia data stored as images.

Execution Item C “User Interface for Practical Verification of Data Analysis and Application”
The design and development of a search and visualization function is proceeding according to the original plan. Further, we are summarizing the requests from local governments, and continuing to clarify development issues for local governments.

Execution Item D “Method of Utilizing Road Management Information Open data”
We have built an information system and developer site for publishing and distributing road management information as open data. The system and the site were developed using CKAN, which is also used by the government open data catalog site DATA.GO.JP.

Execution Item E Execution of an “Organization/System for Operating the DB”
We have completed the work flow analysis and embarked on our investigation into the reconstruction of the internal DB, based on the output of the work flow diagram and information analysis diagram. Further, utilizing the results of the other execution items(from A to C), we have started to analyze the design issues related to the use of the DB in the NEXCO East Japan management office.
