1.The contents and the result of research
(1)Understanding of the recent trend of Regulations for High Pressure Composite
Cylinder (HPCC) and the consideration of ways to conform to the Laws and Regulations.We attended the section meeting of the HPCC organized by Japan Petroleum Enegy Center(JPEC) as observers in addition to seminars and exhibitions on hydrogen technology.Through the above activities, we researched and studied ways to conform to
the current regulations for HPCC and the compilation of criteria for them.
(2)Feasibility studies to produce the HPCC
(2)-1 Consideration of material of mouthpiece and the contact part of O ring
In order to suppress the deformation below to the permissible of O ring, the quality of the material of the contact part of O ring was examined.
In addition, the heat fusiontechnology with PE of a mouthpiece block was established.
(2)-2 Establishment of the non-destructive examination in the heat fusion part of a liner and a mouthpiece block
In collaboration with The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology(AIST), the underwater ultrasonic flaw detection method is studied for the purpose of establishment of a more practical test method. As shown in a picture, a foreign substance and void can detect certainly with an echo wave form. Using this result, a testing machine is due to be selected concretely so that the position and the depth of an erratic part can be specified clearly.
(3) Trial production and evaluation of a small HPCC with a volume of 30L.
(3)-1 Gas permeability test of a small HPCC with He gas
The permeability test of the HPCC which uses a single-layer liner was carried out. As a result, the quantity of gas permeability of the 106MPa conversion confirmed is 3cc/h/L, the value is less than the standard value of KHK TD5202.
(3)-2 Increase in efficiency of the CFRP reinforcement layer of a small type4 HPCC
The efficient Lamination Table was verified with FW molding method by new technology. By new technology, equivalent intensity was obtained by one half of conventional CFRP thickness.
(4) Trial production and evaluation of a medium size HPCC with a volume of 100L.
(4)-1 Trial production of a medium size HPCC.
By new FW technology, the medium size HPCC as shown in a picture was made as an experiment.
(4)-2 The bursting test of a medium size HPCC with a volume of 100L
The hydraulic pressure test of the medium size HPCC was carried out. As a result, it was proved that it burst more than 236MPa which satisfies KHKTD5202. Then, durability test is on going by outsourcing.
