英文要約MHI has commercialized a series of environment equipment for coal firing power plants. Using those environment technologies, we will make a showcase coal fired plant equipped with all those systems for clean utilization in the USA. It will open the way to export those technologies to USA.

Results in FY2014;
- The site selection process of the sites for a showcase power plant has been started in the USA including for power generation and for CO2 EOR.
- Oklahoma State was selected as it has a lot of oil fields and high possibility to get a special tariff for the electricity by clean coal power stations.
- Oil fields are also investigated and 42 fields were selected in the first screening. The further selection will be conducted with the partner in the USA.
- The basic design of a series of environment equipment has been started.
- The case study of Block Flow and Mass balance for the coal upgrading system, the main equipment of AQCS, the CO2 capture system, the zero liquid discharge system and the CHP were completed and the specification of these equipment will be decided soon to adjust and to complete the design for all the systems.
- Environment regulations of USA were listed. It will be discussed with partners in the USA how to comply them as considering the coming action plans of Oklahoma State.
- The economic evaluation tool was made to finally check cash flow and IRR with actual values later. With use of the tentative costs like CAPEX, OPEX, the tool was tested to confirm that it will work correctly.
- Several plot plans were made to show the owner and to create the EPC time schedule.
They will be discussed and studied together with the owner and partners in the USA.
- The idea of the business model was studied as considering the special purpose companies as needed for various viewpoints including the economics, risks and others.
- In order to calculate how much CO2 will decrease, the specification of the CO2 capture system will be discussed with the owner.
