(1) Reviewing trends of technology, policy, and implementation status
In this study, the project background and the project direction of current solar power recycling R&D activities in representative case were analyzed. Information of the law system related to PV recycling for handling used PV modules was organized. Through hearing survey, progress situation of advanced activity of PV module recycle were observed.

(2) Analysis of distribution situation of PV system and study of emission prediction
1) Analysis of distribution situation of PV system
Adding and updating data of the distribution situation of PV system (residential areas and nonresidential areas, organized in the previous year) were conducted by using the latest statistics. Estimation methods of the introduction volume by module type were studied.
2) Study of emission prediction
Data for emission prediction were updated. In particular, data for emission prediction were updated based on outcomes of analysis of the distribution situation of PV system. Furthermore, emissions in the entire Japan, by prefecture and module type till 2030 were predicted on the basis of the updating data. Sensitivity analysis of emissions prediction in the entire Japan was examined from the viewpoint of high impact factor, such as lifetimes of PV system. Three cases of lifetime (20 years, 25 years, and 30 years) were considered. In addition, considering determining factors of lifetimes of PV system, the prediction model using probability distribution in lifetimes was examined in order to develop advanced estimation methods.
