Appearance of the PVT system mounted on the roof must be very similar. Reliability for the PVT must be more than 30 years. In order to get a big popularity in the market, the two things above mentioned are so important.
2. Abstract
We have succeeded in the development of a new PVT panel which can convert solar energy into useful energy, that is, electricity and hot water, with efficiency of more than 60% to nearly 80%.
3. Summaries
We have developed a new type of PVT hybrid panel whereby the visible light of solar spectrum is converted into electricity by photoelectric effect of semiconductors, and infrared light is absorbed in the carbon black filled rubber compound and changed into far infrared by wavelength conversion.
The far infrared passes through polyethylene resin pipe causing water molecules to vibrate, which in turn generates hot water.
This is a revolutionary panel with nearly 80% of accumulated conversion efficiency in electricity generation and thermal collection.
The increase of the electrical efficiency is due to the cooling effect resulting in this astonishing percentage.
