1) R&D on Stabilization Technology for Renewable Electricity through Hydrogen Production
The newly developed electrolyzer with laboratory-scale capacity has achieved basic performance. Using the electrolyzer as the core component, the demonstration-scale system and facility were designed and built up. These system and facility comply with relevant codes and standards as well as in-house safety standards for the facility with hydrogen.

2) R&D on “Smart Control” Logic on Hydrogen Production, Storage and Utilization
By analyzing specification, performance and cost of components for demonstration system, proper system capacity of components (hydrogen storage, battery and others) was identified and optimized.
For the development of wind-power generation forecasting algorithm, the logic for the development of the algorithm to achieve the final target of 20% feed-in of wind-generated electricity into the grid was established.

3) R&D on Compact and Stable Storage Technologies of Renewable Hydrogen using Chemical Hydride Pathway

This R&D item will be conducted after the installation of the electrolyzer system and hydrogenation system in 2017.

4) R&D on Improvement of Catalysts for de-hydrogenation of Chemical Hydrides
By conducting the evaluation of catalysts activities in the reactor, the mid-term target on dehydrogenation was achieved.

5) R&D on Utilization of Renewable Hydrogen
By analyzing potential application of renewable hydrogen, the following application systems were identified and their specifications and performance were evaluated.
- LPG/hydrogen co-combustion boiler for public buildings
- Fuel cell to compensate imbalance

6) Assessment of Business model and Development of Deployment Plan for the System
By organizing three meetings of wind-power stability-technology committee and by working with other partners, the following mid-term targets have been achieved.

i) Setting of electricity price and hydrogen price
ii) Setting of scale-up factor
iii) Setting of KPI
iv) Conducting of sensitivity analysis based on KPI
