英文要約Title: An ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) with optical microphone based headset for improved speech recognition under high noise environment (FY2015-2017) FY2016 Annual Report 

This project is divided into 5 major development items. (1)Development of High S/N optical microphone: Basic characteristics and fundamental reliability testing of ES module was performed. No critical failure was found. (2)Development of VAD/Pitch information detection method from the optical microphone: The detection algorithm was fixed based on the VZ’s original method. A drastic code slim down has been made in order to implement into the DSP. Actual implementation was also done during the period. (3)Development of NR algorithm using VAD/Pitch information from optical microphone: The base NR algorithm was selected, and the algorithm for integrating the optical signal information into the base NR was developed and tested under high noise environment. Additional development for further NR performance improvement is in progress in order to clearly differentiate this technology from the existing technology. (4)Development of optical microphone equipped head set: Five Prototype models were made in order to test all development items. The short boom version of prototype models were also made, in order to seek for the case where the optical microphone signal is much more useful than under the current acoustic microphone arrangements. (5) Development of the optimized ASR system for optical microphone equipped head set: The autonomous data creation system for the training of ASR acoustic model was developed. Acoustic model adaptation will be performed using this system during this project.
