This study is concerned with the development of a hollow micro-hydraulic turbine excellent in foreign matter passage performance. The runner has a circular hollow around the central (rotating) axis so that foreign matter included in water can easily flow without blocking the turbine.Investigation of effect of shape of blade for guidevane and runner on turbine performance.It is considered that the blade shape of the guidevane and runner affect the performance of the hydraulic turbine. The blade tip is rounded so that it does not hook foreign matters. It is excellent in the passage performance of the foreign matters in sewage. And power generation efficiency and power output is dependent upon the shape of blade and the number of blades for guidevane. In the case of the long blade type and the blade number 7, the efficiency and the output is improved with about 70%.Simulation of flow through hydraulic turbine.The flow simulation using commercial software, SCRYU/Tetra of Software Cradle was conducted.
