英文要約a. Thermophysical property evaluation for the refrigerant mixtures

a-1 Thermodynamic properties in the critical region

The reliability of the critical point apparatus was confirmed by using HFC-32 and HFC-134a after the replacement with a new PRT. The reliability of PVT property and VLE measurements was confirmed after the replacement of pressure sensor.

a-2. Vapor-liquid equilibrium

Ten points of VLE data have been obtained for HFO-1123+HFO-32 mixtures within 300 to 340 K in temperatures, 1.9 to 4.8 MPa in pressures, and 0.9 in composition.

a-3. Isobaric specific-heat capacity

The calorimeter with a thermal flow meter was constructed to measure the vapor cp. And the calorimeter with a metal-bellows was constructed to measure the liquid cp.

a-4. Speed-of-sound

The speed-of-sound measurement apparatus by cylindrical acoustic-microwave resonator was improved for mixtures. Acoustic and microwave resonant frequency curves were measured to check the validity of the measurement in the gas phase.

a-5. Equation of state

The equation of state for pure HFO-1123 was evaluated. Comparisons with experimental data showed that the equation calculates vapor pressures of this fluid within 0.1% at temperatures below 300K. An interim equation of state based on the Kunz-Wagner model was formulated for mixtures.

a-6. Transport properties

The improvement of thermal conductivity and viscosity apparatus were made by using the reference fluids. Measurements with HFC-134a were conducted to confirm the reliability of the measurement. In the viscosity measurement loop, a surge tank was installed to make stable flow.

b. Evaluation of heat transfer characteristics for the refrigerant mixtures

b-1. brazed plate heat exchangers

The test section of plate type heat exchanger which has a longer channel was fabricated. On the other hand, experiments of the local temperature measurement in the plate were carried out. Two phase flow observation were carried out with transparent plate channel made of acrylic.

b-2. microchannel slabs

The experimental apparatus was constructed to measure the evaporation and condensation heat transfer in the multiport tube with rectangular microchannels. The heat transfer characteristics of evaporation and condensation flows using HFC-32 as a test fluid were measured.

b-3. round tubes

The measurement uncertainty in tube wall temperature and the heat leak from the test section were ±0.05 K and 15 W, respectively. These numbers were sufficiently small for the accurate measurement of heat transfer coefficient.

c. Cycle performance assessment of a heat pump cycle for candidate low GWP refrigerants

c-1. Performance assessment of a positive displacement compression cycle

After the scroll compressor was replaced by new one, the reproducibility of the experiment was confirmed with HFC-32. For HFO-1123+HFC-32, the experiment was carried out to evaluate the COP and to find the optimum charge amount at heating loads ranging from 1.6 kW to 2.6 kW.
