英文要約1) Feasibility Study for the Experimental Study at Sea Area
Okinawa prefecture has been running a 50kW OTEC experimental facility (hereinafter to be referred to as "the Okinawa Facility") at Deep Seawater Research Institute at Kumejima Island from April 2013.
For the basis of FS for this 100kW project, the experiences and recorded data at the Okinawa Facility are sorted out as follows;
(a)Research on the Experimental Conditions of the Sea Area
In this project, the equipment for the research are to be located on shore. Accordingly, its performance will not be affected by waves etc. Only seawater temperature at shallow and deep water are only the factor to decide the performance.
As the Okinawa Facility has been recording these temperatures every second and minute, these data are sorted out in terms of monthly averages, daily averages, hourly averages, histograms, comparison with public data, etc.
(b)Risk Assessment for Detailed Design
In FY-H26, actual experiences on the mechanical troubles at the Okinawa Facility were collected and analysed as a basis for risks to be considered in this project. Damages by tyhoons or lightning would be main risks of this project.
(c)InstalInlation, Construction, Operation and Maintenance
In FY-H26, the experiences on the operation and maintenance at the Okinawa Facility were sorted out as follows;
(1)Normal operation: the Okinawa Facility is operated 24/7 automatically without personnel. In the case of emergent abnormality, alarm is raised at each registered mobile phone.
(2)Qualified personnel required by rules and regulations: the qualified personnel are based on the Electricity Business Act.
(3)Maintenance: In addition to the normal maintenance for common power plant, the countermeasure for salt damage has been specially paid attention, which can be eased for the next larger project to be located inside a building.
