英文要約Title: Development of stabilization technology for metabolic pathway related genes (FY2016-FY2021) FY2021 Annual Report

In enhancing and/or modifying secondary metabolites of plants, it is often reported that the amount of accumulated mRNA from the introduced gene is unintentionally extremely low. In this research, which sequence and/or structure of plant mRNA is recognized and decomposed is clarified. We will develop technologies to eliminate instability factors assumed in genes and stabilize target mRNA. In fiscal 2016, we analyzed the half-life of mRNA and the 5 'terminal sequence of the cleavage products exhaustively using next generation sequencers, using plant cultured cells (Arabidopsis thaliana cultured cell T87 strain) as a research material. As a result, sufficient number of leads could be secured for subsequent analysis.
