New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)
NEDO plans to launch projects with the aim of reducing the costs of renewable heat utilization systems and promoting their use. There are six technology development areas, such as the development of technologies that contribute to expanding the utilization of geothermal heat in urban regions and the development of simulation technologies capable of accurately evaluating renewable heat utilization system performance.
The projects will be conducted through FY 2018, with the goal to reduce both implementation and operation costs of geothermal heat utilization systems by 20%, and to reduce the implementation costs of other renewable heat utilization systems by 10%.
