NEDO has started a second phase of Development of Basic Technology for Next-generation Printed Electronics Materials and Process Technology project from this fiscal year. The project aims to develop a multi-product variable production process for sensors necessary to provide functionality for IoT (Internet of Things) devices. The IoT is the network of devices and other physical objects with sensors that connect and share data with other devices via the internet.
In addition to building on the successful first phase project results, by adding development items focused on “Basic Process Technology for Customization” and “Flexible Multi-functional Device Technology”, NEDO aims to build an innovative “Platform Technology for Multi-product Variable Production” capable of variable production of flexible IoT sensors in various shapes with multiple functions through printing.
