June 6, 2016
New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)
As part of NEDO’s Japan-France Bilateral R&D Cooperation Program, Konica Minolta Inc. of Japan and France’s Institut Pasteur and BioAxial agreed to conduct joint research on the development of a system to support the discovery of new pharmaceuticals and signed an agreement to that effect at the Institut Pasteur in Paris on June 3 (local time).
In this joint research project, researchers aim to speed up new drug development by developing advanced bio-imaging technologies capable of observing the behavior of biomolecules such as proteins within a cell at high resolution to take advantage of drug discovery.
