Demonstrations Begin for a Community-based Biofuel Production System on the Island of Tanegashima
-A Small-scale Distributed Plant for Fuel Production and a Centralized Plant for Resin Regeneration Developed-

As part of a NEDO project, EPSILON Co., Ltd. and Tohoku University developed a small-scale distributed plant for fuel production and a centralized plant for resin regeneration in Nishino-omote City on the island of Tanegashima, establishing a biodiesel production system suitable for both local production and local consumption.

Full-scale demonstrations of this community-based biofuel production system will start at a later date.
