Water-splitting Photocatalytic Sheet with Self-regenerative Co-catalyst

A new type of water-splitting photocatalytic sheets has been fabricated with modification by self-regenerative co-catalyst by Japan Technological Research Association of Artificial Photosynthetic Chemical Process (ARPChem), the University of Tokyo, and Tokyo University of Science, associated in a collaborative project of NEDO.
By this work the durability of oxygen evolution has been successfully improved for longer than 1100 hours than conventional lifetime around 20 hours. This is a breakthrough towards social implementation of artificial photosynthesis.
The results of this research appeared in online breaking news of British science journal Nature Energy.
