NEDO and Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc., a member of the Thermal Management Materials and Technology Research Association (TherMAT), have developed a collection and reuse technology for non-reaction raw materials that occur when producing a specific high-performance heat storage material (product name: AQSOA®Z02). By applying this newly developed technology to actual process, a mass production manufacturing technology that reduces the manufacturing cost of AQSOA® Z02 has been established.
As a result, Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc. can now provide the high-performance heat storage material AQSOA®Z02 at a price equivalent to that of commercially available synthetic zeolite, which is difficult to use at low temperatures of 55 to 80°C. There are now expectations for more effective utilization of unused heat through increased application of the material.
