New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)
NEDO aims to further reduce the cost of solar power generation through two new projects aimed at reducing the initial installation costs associated with construction and the installation of peripheral equipment other than solar battery modules, as well as two more new projects aimed at improving system efficiency by increasing power generation rates by 10% or more, totaling four new projects for research and development.
These projects were recently selected by NEDO following a public solicitation process with the goal of expanding NEDO's project portfolio to support the large-scale introduction of solar power generation throughout society. Through these technological developments, NEDO aims to reduce the power generation cost associated with solar power generation systems and disseminate solar power generation systems that do not rely on Feed-In Tariff (FIT) schemes to be economically competitive.
