Newly-Developed Excavator Automation and Noise Reduction Technologies Proceed to Commercialization
- Contributing to reducing the installation cost of geothermal heat utilization systems -

Based on the results of a NEDO project, Toa Tone Boring Co., Ltd. has developed automation and noise reduction technologies for excavators essential to geothermal heat utilization systems installation. The company's newly-developed high-performance excavator called "Sonic NEO" is equipped with these technologies.

This excavator produces significantly less noise during operation (when compared to conventional models) and additionally reduces the number of workers required for operation through partial automation, greatly reducing the installation costs associated with geothermal heat utilization systems especially in urban areas.

Toa Tone Boring Co., Ltd. plans to commercialize this excavator in July 2017.
