NEDO Promotes Greater Regional Utilization of Biomass Energy
– Selecting two new projects aimed at creating an optimal system that leverages regional characteristics –
July 10, 2017
New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)
As part of the "Demonstration Project of Self-Sustaining Regional Systems for Biomass Energy," NEDO called for proposals for feasibility studies (FS) to expand the use of biomass energy, and has selected two projects for award.
In this Project, the business feasibility of an optimal system that takes advantage of regional characteristics of each biomass type (wooden, wet, urban-type, and mixed-type) will be assessed. The results will be summarized to develop highly practical technical guidelines and introduction requirements, which will be published every fiscal year.
