NEDO to Conduct Demonstration Test in Minamisoma City of Weather Report Service for Drones and Weather Observations by Drones
– Will aim for realization of safe and effective drone operations –

For three days, from October 24 to 26, NEDO and the Japan Weather Association will conduct a data linkage demonstration test of a weather report service for drones, in addition to a demonstration test of weather observations done by drones. The demonstration tests will both take place at the Fukushima Coastal Region Robot Test Zones in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture.

Going forward, NEDO will advance the development of a comprehensive weather report function for drones based on the findings obtained from these demonstration tests, and will aspire to the realization of expanding the applications of drones, as well as furthering safe and effective drone operations.
