NEDO and Fukushima Prefecture will jointly organize the "Fukushima Robot Symposium for Logistics, Infrastructure Inspection, and Disaster Relief" in Minamisoma in Fukushima prefecture.
In this symposium, NEDO will introduce the latest results of research on new robot performance evaluation methods, which NEDO has been working on in order to commercialize unmanned aerial vehicles and robots designed for both underwater and aboveground inspection. These robots are expected to be utilized in many fields such as logistics, inspection of infrastructure, and disaster relief. The Fukushima Robot Testing Field (in Namie, Minamisoma), which is expected to be effectively utilized in the research, will also be showcased. Additionally, the symposium will showcase panel presentations introducing NEDO's latest research and development efforts as well as actual robots.
