Appointment as Vice Chair of GSGF
November 5, 2014
NEDO Executive Director Hiroshi Kuniyoshi (Secretary General, JSCA) has been appointed as Vice Chair of the Global Smart Grid Federation (GSGF), an international group of smart grid promotion organizations from 18 countries and regions throughout the world.
On November 3, Dr. Kuniyoshi attended the GSGF board meeting in Amsterdam, his first opportunity for a face-to-face meeting since assuming the post of Vice Chair. Three work groups were established at this meeting — Power Grid Electrical Energy Storage, Cyber Security, and Smart Grid Systems Flexibility — and they set to work. In each area, the groups will gather and examine information from various countries and specific examples of efforts being made, and strive to prepare a report summarizing the views of industry. Japan (Dr. Kuniyoshi) will act as the chair and lead activities in the energy storage group.
