Chairman Furukawa Visited Uzbekistan

NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa visited Uzbekistan with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. On October 25th, Chairman Furukawa signed a letter of intent (LOI) for a cooperation agreement with Mr. Azimov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, confirming the intent of both parties to cooperate on feasibility study for future demonstration projects in Uzbekistan.

On the same day, he attended the Japan-Uzbekistan Business Forum held in Uzbekistan's capital city, Tashkent, where Uzbekistani President Islam Karimov mentioned the importance of NEDO projects in Uzbekistan and expressed his gratitude for NEDO's contributions.
