NEDO Cooperated on Exhibition at the International Media Center for G7 Ise-Shima Summit

From May 25th to May 28th, NEDO cooperated on a government public relations exhibition at the International Media Center (IMC) installed in the Annex building of the Mie Prefectural Sun Arena in concert with G7 Ise-Shima Summit.
The exhibit's themes were "tradition," "innovation," and Japanese technologies that can contribute to resolving various problems facing the international community, and Japanese products and technologies were introduced in various exhibition categories related to the summit's agenda. Under the category of "Infrastructure and Transportation", NEDO exhibited achievements in the field of innovative materials such as cellulose nano-fibers and artificial spider silk. Also, in the "Medical and Health Care" category, NEDO exhibited achievements in nursing care robotics such as robot suits and personal mobility devices and provided demonstrations.
During the summit, many dignitaries including Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga visited the exhibit. In addition, participating as part of the G7 Partners' Program Mrs. Akie Abe, spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan, Mrs. Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, spouse of the Prime Minister of Canada, and Mrs. Malgorzata Tusk, spouse of the President of the European Council also visited the exhibit, attracting a great deal of attention as they experienced the nursing care robots. Further, as part of the "After Summit" program, elementary, middle, and high school students from Mie Prefecture will visit the exhibit from May 30th through June 10th.
