NEDO Held the "India-Japan Energy Forum 2017 Conference"

On January 9, NEDO held the "India-Japan Energy Forum 2017 Conference" in New Delhi, India, together with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).
The conference had three sessions focused on the smart grid, energy efficiency, and transportation. There was a lively discussion between experts from both the government and the private sectors. At the beginning of the conference, NEDO Chairman Kazuo Furukawa greeted the attendees by saying that NEDO will contribute to building sustainable social systems in India to solve energy and environmental issues and realize a stable electric power system utilizing Japanese knowledge and technology.
The Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshige Seko and the Indian Minister of Power, Coal & New and Renewable Energy and Mines Piyush Goyal gave lectures on cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy.
Prior to the conference, Chairman Furukawa attended the meeting between Minister Seko and Minister Goyal.
