NEDO Held "Symposium for SIP: Next-Generation Power Electronics 2017"

On November 6, 2017, NEDO co-hosted the "Symposium for SIP: Next-Generation Power Electronics 2017" with the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan in Tokyo.
At the symposium, Program Director Tatsuo Oomori and the project leaders gave lectures on the general plan and the current situation concerning the research project on "Next-Generation Power Electronics" as part of the "Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP)," for which NEDO serves as the secretariat. In addition, the symposium showcased posters, prototypes and passive components as part of the research results on Next-Generation Power Modules, which provided participants with the opportunity for a useful exchange of views.
240 people participated in the symposium. The symposium gathered various opinions and generated significant interest regarding exit strategies and the importance of sharing information among the participants.
