NEDO Holds Festa in Kansai Event

December 26, 2018

NEDO held its Festa in Kansai event on December 18-19, 2018, at the Knowledge Capital Congres Convention Center in Osaka.

The two-day event was aimed at fostering a deeper public understanding of NEDO's activities, thereby encouraging a wider range of stakeholders to collaborate with NEDO. The event was organized on the occasion of the relocation of NEDO’s Kansai Branch Office to the Knowledge Capital facility located in Grand Front Osaka.

During the event, NEDO organized a lecture meeting commemorating the relocation of its office. Many guests, including stakeholders from industry, academia, and the public sector, participated in various activities such as a seminar on NEDO projects, a briefing on the kinds of assistance NEDO can provide, a business pitch contest, and individual consultation sessions.

In the exhibition portion of the event, NEDO provided an overview of its demonstration projects with a particular focus on those involving stakeholders from the Kansai region. Exhibits on recent research and development activities were displayed by around thirty Kansai- and western Japan-based R&D-oriented ventures and small businesses receiving support from NEDO. The companies at the exhibition engaged in lively discussions with visitors to their displays.
