NEDO Executive Director Meets with Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Energy

On July 12, 2019, NEDO Executive Director Yoshiteru Sato met with H.E. Eng. Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and H.E. Mr. Khaled Omran Sqait Sarhan Alameri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Japan. The meeting took place at NEDO's head office on the occasion of Mr. Al Marar's visit to Japan.

At the meeting, NEDO introduced trends in the development of technology in the energy conservation and renewable energy sectors and this led to a wide-ranging discussion on topics such as how best to curb energy consumption and improve energy efficiency in the growing emirate of Abu Dhabi and what kind of social mechanisms are needed to support the dissemination of renewable energy.
