NEDO Participates in INCHEM TOKYO 2019

December 5, 2019

For three days from November 20 to 22, 2019, NEDO organized an exhibit at the "INCHEM TOKYO 2019 Chemical and Processing Industry Week" event held at the Makuhari Messe convention center.

In NEDO booth, it was introduced its research and development activities regarding the use of unutilized thermal energy, which is released during the energy supply process and is considered a frontier for energy efficiency and conservation. Absorption refrigerator (real machine) was exhibited that had been developed on the basis of NEDO research and development activities and successfully commercialized. In addition, there were exhibits of a thermal energy storage system that has started full-scale demonstration testing and thermoelectric power generation modules composed only of general-purpose elements which have been successfully developed for the first time in the world.

On November 21, NEDO organized a special lecture introducing the latest trends and NEDO projects related to utilizing thermal energy. The lecture attracted great interest among the large number of attendees.
