Our partnership has been key to the development of innovative clean energy and transportation solutions–including NEDO's EV and battery projects. We enjoy the ongoing com mitment and collaboration with NEDO Chairman Hiroaki Ishizuka and the entire NEDO team. ─ Activities relevant to California’s energy and en vironmental policies.We are proud in California to be world leaders committed in combating climate change. As one of the largest economies on the planet, we are proving that low and zero carbon technologies can power us to long-term sustainable economic growth that benefits all Californians. California has a range of policies that are driving our transition to carbon neutrality by mid century. These include zero emission vehicle standards, the low carbon fuel standard, programs for renewable energy and energy efficiency, and the cap and trade program. ─ The significance of NEDO activities in the United States and expectations for NEDO efforts that could potentially benefit both the United States and the world at large.Like California, Japan has set a goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. The ongoing work and commitment of groups like NEDO is crucial to achieving these goals. We have learned that partnership between government and industries all over the world is a key piece of developing scalable solutions to tackle the global challenge of climate change.
