FY2008 Annual Report The objective of this Project is to contribute to the efficient use of energy and the protection of the environment in China by introducing various building energy efficiency improvement devices to Garden Hotel Shanghai and by widely disseminating the energy efficiency improvement technology for commercial buildings through demonstration of the EQUIPMENT. The following contents were conducted at the current year, that is the first year of multiple-year project. (1) Site Survey: 1) The support of the MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding) conference 2) The conclusion of Implementation Document with Garden Hotel Shanghai 3) Detail investigation: The detail investigation of the equipment on site was conducted in cooperation with Chinese side. Construction conditions, like equipment place and carrying route, etc., were examined. (2) Design: Basic design and detailed design of the equipment of Japanese part (Building energy management system (BEMS), CO2 refrigerant heat pump water heater, cogeneration system, and solar photovoltaic power generation system, etc.) were conducted. We also cooperated in a specifications making and a basic design about materials arranged by Chinese side. (3) Equipment production and transportation: Suppliers of the equipment of Japanese part were selected through bid procedure. The equipment manufactured at current year has been inspected before shipment. (4) Promotion activity: The project of a video making and the scenario of the video have been made to promote these energy conservation methods in China.
