英文要約Abstract
The objective of this study is to establish a system that enables and enhances the effective utilization of the unutilized grass biomass abundant in Aso National Park's grasslands. The study aims to develop a total system of biomass utilization, from collection and transportation to energy conversion and final energy utilization. In 2008, which marks the 4th year of the 5 year project, several developments were made in each stages of the utilization system.
Major developments made in the collection-transportation system include: firstly, conducting harvesting experiment, collecting data and selecting harvesting area for 2008, secondly considering the whether condition at harvesting time and the storage methods, because to practice gasification efficiently, decreasing moisture content in a row material is an essential feature. (In the tent storage, air ventilation is conducted for the fire protection and this helps reducing moisture content of grass roll during storage.) Other developments are detecting metals and pebbles in the grass roll by using a gyro-tedder since those foreign substances cause the damage of the gasification electricity generation facility, and finally, the improvement of the transportation efficiency by introducing a trailer instead of a loader.
Major developments made in the energy conversion and utilization system include, firstly, addressing issues such as improvement of volumetric feeder, handling foreign substances in a raw material, and measures against clinker in the reformed furnace to stabilize the gasification facility, secondly, in addition to 180kw in electricity as a specification, generating maximum of 220kw with the material input of 420kg/hour of grass, and finally, the maximum of 120-hours consecutive operation of the gasification facility.
Developments made in the final energy utilization system include: firstly, analyzing the energy demand pattern continuously due to the aim to run down the energy provided by the gasification facility, secondly, analyzing the cause of difficulty of receiving the heat at Azeria 21 and reforming the heat utilization facility. (There was a phenomenon that the heat was not received but sent back to the gasification facility when the experiment of filling the bathtub with hot water heated up by the heat from the gasification facility at the night time was conducted.), finally, installing the public pool as a facility utilizing residual heat when the thermal demand is low at Azeria 21.These reforms above show the potential of finishing up the overabundant summer heat
