英文要約Title: Verification test on the bark use for the steam boiler as heat source in Wood Fiber Thermal Insulation Material manufacturing plant: (FY2008-FY2010) FY2009 Annual Report. : 1.Collection and transportation of bark : Roughly equal-sized bark with low moisture content is planned to be collected. The variation of moisture content is measured over a year. : The supply amount of bark suddenly decreased from the market because of cutting utilization rates in the lumbering industry caused by several economic happenings. The collection of dry and equal-sized bark originally desired was so much difficult that we were compelled to accept the extremely high moisture content bark between autumn and winter. The research for decreasing the moisture content will be required. : 2.Preprocessing equipment : When the bark being different from assumed size and/or moisture content is carried in, a due procedure of screening is reviewed. : The various size and high moisture content bark was carried in and compelled to be fed into a dryer. The dryer was tested under various conditions of operations but was clogged soon. So the study of screening method will be conducted in the next fiscal year for screening the bark size. : 3.Energy conversion equipment : Steam is generated by use of wooden biomass (bark) fuel firing fluidized-bed boiler. In order to obtain the optimum combustion and steam generation, the moisture content, amount of bark, combustion condition, and thermal data are recorded and analyzed. :As the result of analyzing boiler operation data, the output energy did not decrease though high moisture content bark was used. It was suggested to result from more continuously long terms operation of the boiler than the moisture content. : 4.Energy use equipment : The maximization of energy utilization efficiency is aimed at through decreasing moisture content of bark by use of boiler exhaust heat. The exhaust heat is recycled to the combustion air of boiler. The steam drain with fairly high temperature from the factory manufacturing process of WFTIM is used for anti-freezing bark through heat exchanger not to be frozen in winter. : Data acquired from the dryer indicated that tended to depend on the moisture content before and after drying. The effect of drying process on decreasing moisture content of bark was about 20-50%. :About an equipment for anti-freezing bark, the temperature of bark become 40℃ in the case with the warming plate higher than that without warming plate in winter. Therefore, no freezing was observed. Recycling of the factory exhaust heat will be examined in future. : 5.Use of residue and by-product : Clinker and ash were analyzed by the componential analysis and the applicability for the soil is examined. :It was shown from the componential analysis on hazardous substance, that the combustion ash and fly-ash were confirmed to be safe due to low regulated value. Availability of them for the soil conditioner and fertilizer will be examined.
