研究開発項目【1】増速機構一体型発電機の設計に関する研究開発
(a) 増速機構仕様検討及び確認試験
当初、発電機に関してはコアレスタイプの発電機を採用する予定であったが、以下の理由により仕様変更を行った。
(1) 汎用のものでは定格回転数が翼特性とマッチングしない
(2) 翼性能にマッチングさせるため、マグネットならびにコイルを試作開発した場合、製品化の時点で製造コストが当社予想よりも大幅に増大してしまうこと
そこで、他の発電機の各製品を検討し、コイル部に独自の技術を採用しているシコ−株式会社製発電機を採用することとし、再度、増速比を設定、動作確認用の試験用構造物の設計製作を行った。
動作確認後、下記の点に関して偏向を実施し、増速機構の仕様を決定し、発電機の設計を行った。
●ギヤ歯車種類を平歯から斜歯に変更(増速比は変更なし)、動作時のギヤ音の低減を図った。
●ベアリング及びシャフト径を一回り大きくし、制動時の慣性力に対する強度を向上させた。

R&D item 1: Design for a speed-up gear integrated generator
In an initial plan, we planned to employ coreless type generator for following reasons:
1) Rated-rotation speed of a general-purpose generator doesn't match with the characteristics of Loopwing blade.
2) Increase of the manufacturing cost will be predicted, if we adhere to magnet coreless type generator.
We studied other kind of generators to be compatible with the characteristics of Loopwing blade. We decided to employ original generator technology of Shicoh.
Spec changes:
-Changed gear type from spur gear to helical gear to reduce noise.
-Diameter of shaft and bearing to improve duration.
b) Design and Production prototype for speed-up integrated generator
We changed the design of the generator as follows:
1) Shaft shape (requested customizing to a shaft maker)
2) Speed up gear rate and gear type
3) Housing shape
With the influence of the disaster occurred in March and above design change effected for the deadline to delay by 8th of April 2011.
R&D item 2: Production of prototype wind turbine
We decided to change the assembly site from Onaghama where the earthquake struck in March to Eiwa giken(Okayama pref.). We arranged to transport the undamaged parts to Eiwa Giken and rescheduling the date of prototype production and assembly is now been scheduled by the end of April.
R&D item 3: Controller system
Since there was a difficulty to find the supplier of the controller systems for wind energy, we decided to produce by ourselves.
Delay of the delivery for necessary parts from company we placed an order with, and the disaster at Tohoku caused delay for several weeks until 8th of April.
For battery, we purchased Lithium ion battery from a battery maker.
R&D item 4: Business plan
a) Research for pricing and products of wind maker competitors
We analyzed the gap of the pricing of Loopwing product and other products with the report from TUV SUD Japan. For wind market research, we purchased 'Trend of wind turbine market 2010' from Yano Research.
b) Participation for COP16
On the purpose of research and marketing for the renewable energy global trend, we participated COP16 held in Cancun Mexico between 27th of Nov 2010 and 4th of Dec 2010. With the result of the research, we reflect the research results into the business plan.
c) Research for certifications, law, grant provisions in foreign market.
We set selection criteria for the research of the certifications, law and grant provisions in foreign market. None of the companies could offer the services because of their resource capacity and delivery term. Currently, we are planning to proceed simultaneously with the research done by ourselves and narrow down the selection criteria for research companies by the end of April.
