英文要約A) Feasibility Study for the Proposed Project
The study was carried out in cooperation with various Indonesian government organizations. Information acquired from the discussions with these organizations was analyzed and incorporated into the study. This year, those information is mainly about the electricity tariff system for refused fuel power generation including biomass fuel. Also the cooperation with BPPT, which is the government organization accelerating renewable energy or biomass power generation, has been expanded.

At the same time, the situation of the competitors of boiler manufacture in Indonesia (ex: local manufacturing measures, project scheme) was researched and the most suitable counter measure for this project would be decided.

As part of the fuel study, two coal mines (PKN and LIM) which were selected in last year’s study, were continuously researched. It is clear that both coal suppliers have potential to supply their coal stably. Their sample coal has been received and will be analyzed. For biomass fuels study, it became clear that PKS has enough potential to supply the necessary amount for this project. Also the information of woody biomass fuel or new potential biomass fuel were surveyed in addition to palm and corn fuels researched in last year’s study.

The combustion test was conducted with PKN coal and biomass fuels, PKS and new potential biomass fuels such as Gliricidia and Corn-cob. The conditions for stable operation or assessment for corrosion and environment was identified and those will be reflected to the design condition.

The civil work research is conducted by local erection company and the result will be also reflected to the design condition and cost estimation work. It will make this study more realistic and accurate.

As part of the transmission study, we did the site investigation of Sulawesi island and researched current status. The further study under cooperation with PLN will be conducted.

The invitation program was successfully completed. The 5 participants were form PLN, MEMR and BPPT and they checked the result of combustion test and operating reference CFB boiler plants. Through those activities, further understanding for CFB boiler technology was advanced. During the visit, some presentations of Japanese renewable energy policy was conducted from the Japanese government organization and it became the opportunity for them to understand Japanese policy and review their policy.

B) The trial calculation of potential of greenhouse gasses and environmental load
Based on the result of the combustion test, the fuel co-combustion ratio has been already decided. Simulation study of CO2 emission amounts has begun with proceeding the conceptual and detail design.
