英文要約Title: 2017 Interim report on demonstration project for International project for increasing the efficient use energy and system demonstration project “Optimal control technology on energy center (EC) for steel plants in India” (2016)

 In this feasibility study, we conduct a field survey of a steel plant in India, the planned demonstration site, and a survey of the steel manufacturing facility structure and differences of energy operation method within the factory, to develop the energy management system in line with the current conditions. According to the survey results, we forecast the energy saving effects by the implementation of optimal energy supply-demand technology, and improve or develop new technology necessary for the development of the energy management system.
 The overview of the assumed technology system is the implementation of “visualization of the current/improvement/future conditions and optimal operation technology” by the installation of the Energy Center, and enhancement of energy saving by appropriate management of the entire energy interchanged within the steelworks.
Specifically, we implement the “EMS Package for the steelworks” into the target “integrated steelworks (with blast furnace, LD convertor, gas holder, generation facility)” that handles all processes from iron manufacturing to steel-making, and enhance the “grasp of the energy conditions for the entire steelworks” and “optimization of the entire energy supply-demand”.
