4A-1. Development of self-powered sensor module (SPSM):
We aim to develop system integration technology of SPSM to smoothly transfer research results of the project to social implementation. In this FY, the second spiral development of SPSM was examined. Prototyping of the broadband vibration power generation module and RF power generation module were carried out and their basic performance were evaluated. The SPSM with card edge connector structure including detachable power supply, RF, sensor, and MCU units was developed and its integral operation was confirmed. The supporting tools for SPSM development were also prototyped according to the specifications decided last FY.

4A-2. Optimal data processing and control technology development of DCS:
We aim to develop fundamental technologies for systematization to optimize processing and control by coordinating "data collection terminal (DCT)" and "data collection gateway (DCG)" to achieve energy saving. In this FY, we implemented optimization control processing by inter-node cooperation between DCT and DCG. Specifically, implementation of the protocol using general-purpose RF and microcomputer, and confirmation of communication operation were completed. We also conducted a survey and development of a data prediction library to implement in the micro database on DCG. We have constructed an execution environment capable of machine learning and data prediction that can operate with low resources and low cost compared to conventional models.

4A-3. Development of prototype DCS for social implementation by user-driven approach:
We aim to develop implementation technology of the prototype DCS assuming some specific applications. Following last FY, we operated a Common Foundation Review Committee that included multiple user companies and held four meetings (5/25, 8/29, 11/28, 2/22). Based on the results of the discussion at the committee and the information gathering results so far, we selected a user company or a specific use case that can be a collaborator in the practical verification phase after next FY. Specifically, from the viewpoint of an application that each elemental technology can demonstrate maximum power, we narrowed down to four target areas: motors, ducts, infrastructure, and wearable as target applications. Kawasaki city water purification plant was selected as a collaborator for practicality verification.

4A-4. Project promotion and research support:
To facilitate the smooth operation of large-scale R&D projects, project promotion meetings were held every quarter (4/24, 7/31, 10/23, 1/29). The progress management of the project was carried out in the four working groups of sensor WG, LSI WG, power supply WG and system WG.
