英文要約Title : Project to develop cross-sectoral technologies for IoT promotion / Sensor-to-Cloud Security: Research and Development of Fundamental Technologies for Innovation IoT Security to Protect Big Data (FY2016-2018)FY2017 Annual Report

The aim of this project is to develop energy efficient technologies that can flexibly realize security in IoT. Specifically, research and development are focused on the following two themes: (A) Instrumentation Security and (B) Advanced Cryptography. Summary of project main achievements in FY2017 is listed below:

(A) Instrumentation Security
- Improved the test bed, developed in FY2016, and constructed the system that shows how attacks on the sensors propagate to the cloud in IoT systems.
- Established security evaluation technology for sensor/measurement systems, which actively measure from the sensor itself.
- Accumulated data on simulated attacks that spoofed measured distance for active ranging systems, in particular LIDAR and ToF camera.
- Evaluated attack tolerance against light intensity and distance measurement error.
- Designed the evaluation system of a fixed/variable length code detection sensor.
- Designed a test circuit by 130nm CMOS technology for on-chip reference voltage generation.
- Formulated instrumentation security assurance scheme.

(B) Advanced Cryptography
- Theoretically designed the basic method to realize the key revocation function.
- Examined the operational model for the aggregate signature, assuming specific social implementation application.
- Designed the world fastest paring engine by schedule optimization.
- Developed 3D-stacked circuit core with 130nm CMOS technology for 256bit paring operation and massive parallelization.
- Improved search processing performance of partial-match searchable cipher.
- Developed prototype middleware linked with an advanced cryptography library and distributed database system.
- Made an agreement on the proposal for intellectual property proceedings among the institutes for future marketing.
