英文要約This study is intended to understand how projects subsidized by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), including those undertaken as part of “Strategic Innovation Program for Energy Conservation Technologies”, have contributed to the development of energy conservation technologies, by tracking how the project outcomes have been utilized after the completion of technology development.
Questionnaires for the program participants were conducted not only to estimate the result of each project but also to collect opinions regarding how to improve the program and its usability.

Two agendas were set to serve the objectives described above, of which (1) was undertaken in our study in fiscal year 2017.
(1) Understanding and analyzing the project outcomes
(2) Comparison and analysis of estimated energy saving effect at the time of post-project review and of the latest projection
In understanding and analyzing the project outcomes, two sets of questionnaire forms were first designed, one for respondents who have participated in the survey carried out in the previous year, and the other for newly invited respondents this year.
The following items were included in the questionnaire:
・The situation at the time of the application for the scheme
・The goals and degree of attainment
・The outcomes and the impact: estimated energy saving effect for each company andsales in value
・The willingness to apply for the ongoing schemes
・The assessment, views and suggestions on the schemes
Regarding “Strategic Innovation Program for Energy Conservation Technologies”, responses from all targeted companies have been collected, save companies that had terminated research and development associated with the scheme.
We have compared the survey responses with the background information that NEDO owns and analyzed the current status of utilization statistically to find out the possible factor for success.
