The following research results were obtained. (1) The constructed smart factory demo system based on a CPS concept and an IoT environment was connected with user interface application on smartphone transparently, and the new production management methodology, which connects planning phase and operational phase, was developed. (2) Targeted runners were asked about their intentions to adopt relevant services through smartphone applications. Partial least squares based structural equation modeling was employed to test the proposed research model. Additionally, multi-group analysis and logit analysis were conducted to examine the factors to affect the respondent’s adoption intention. (3) We developed a system that extracts parameters related to running injury risks during running using wearable IMU sensors. (4) The system that can continuously evaluate the load change from the heel contact to the toe off was improved. As for the application to tailor-made shoes, as the first step, a sole part and midsole part with different rigidity distribution and structure are produced by the 3D printer and functional evaluation was carried out. (5) We developed application program for smartphone that are improved foot measurement accuracy under different lighting, and automatically deciding shoes design from runner’s 3D foot skeleton model and foot grounding pattern. (6) The air voids were observed in the outer-sole through the observation of X-ray CT. The hollow truncated octahedral structured midsole by the UV curing 3D printing system was adopted for prototype running shoes. Then, durability of the midsole was successfully demonstrated by 4 marathon runners wearing the prototype shoes with no trouble in Kobe Marathon 2017. We succeeded in 3D printing of the prototype of a rubber vibration isolator by use of synthetic rubber compound used for the product. (7) Flexible three-axis force sensing devices using the multi-stacked organic sensor films were fabricated. The fundamental features between the applied vertical/shear forces and sensing signals were evaluated for the gait analysis of human motion. (8) Impinging characteristics of droplets injected by nozzles on the solid surface have been investigated and it was found that the impinging characteristics of droplets are dominated by Weber number, experimentally and numerically. We produced a prototype for outer sole. The mid sole added the dispenser to a prototype for innersoles and performed the molding examination of simple 3D shape. We changed the motor of the prototype for large X-Y tables, and the innersole improved molding speed, molding precision.
