Our group focused on the following goals in FY2017
(1) R&D for 3D Printing of Metal-Polymer Composite Materials (Nagoya Univ.)
 1) Fabrication of Cu mesh electrodes on blood vessel models
The Cu mesh electrodes which mimic the unexpected current in tachyarrhythmia, were directly fabricated by femtosecond laser reduction pattering of CuO nanoparticles on blood vessel models with nonplanar surfaces.
 
(2) R&D for 3D Printing of Polymers with Multiple Properties (Nagoya Univ.)
 1) Development of temperature indicator for surgical simulator.
We fabricated renal artery model and heart model made of hydrogel with temperature indicator function. (Measurement temperature: 55 ℃, Accuracy : ±0.4℃ at 2 mm thickness). The renal artery model was fabricated by exposure from the periphery of the outer mold. The heart model was fabricated by 3D printing method.

(3) Development of Model Parts for Highly Realistic Surgical Simulator (Nagoya Univ., Fin-Biomedical Ltd)
 1) Prototyping 3D heart model with sensors for evaluation
We prototyped 3D heart model with two kinds of temperature sensors and 3D-shpaed plastic/metallic structure developed in this project. We evaluate the system with medical doctors and developers in medical device manufactures to correct data and information to complete the system in FY2018.

(4) Development of Die-free Hybrid Sheet Metal Forming Technology (Univ. of Fukui)
 1) Development of technology for incremental forming of resin sheets
Incremental sheet forming technology for resin, especially PMMA, sheets with a size of 100 mm x 100 mm x 2.0 mm was developed.
 2) Development of miniature incremental sheet metal forming technology
Incremental sheet metal forming technology for commercial titanium and SUS304 stainless steel foils with a thickness of 0.2 mm and product size of 20 mm x 20 mm and 5 mm x 5mm were developed. Forming accuracy for 20 mm x 20mm foil was 0.04 mm in height and 0.05 mm in diameters was achieved. Forming accuracy for 5 mm x 5 mm was 0.10 mm in height and 0.10 mm in diameters was achieved.

(5) Development of Innovation Society (Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, Nagoya Univ.)
 1) Innovation forum system
The innovation forum system opened at JSME HP was improved for users in greater number.
 2) A domestic innovation conference is to be held of iJSME2017
iJSME2017 (Innovation from JSME 2017) was held on Oct. 7,8 2017 at Nagoya Univ.. In this * *Plenary talk :10, Oral presentation: 47, Participant: 321
 3) AI platform for delight Art is opened.
AI system (PLAtform of NETwork by Artificial Intelligence for Delight Art: PLANET AIDeA) matches various fields of players as SIP participating members with company researchers using their technical information.
