英文要約(1) Selection of coal samples
Three coals (a kind of subbituminous coal and two kinds of bituminous coals) were selected as the coal sample in this project, since the coals have been widely used in the steel industry and electric generation industry. The two kinds of bituminous coals, which are very different in the self-heating property, are selected.
(2) Measurement of coal characteristics
The elemental analyses, the industry analyses, and the calorific value analyses of the coals were carried out according to JIS. The subbituminous coal has low fuel ratio and high oxygen content.
(3) Analyses of coal structure
(3)-1 Analysis of coal chemical structure
The 13C solid state NMR spectra of two of the selected coal samples were acquired using a fixed pulse sequence under the static magnetic field of 11.7 Tesla. The chemical structures such as aliphatic and aromatic groups in the coals were distinguished on the basis of chemical shift.
(3)-2 Analyses of other coal structure
The pore distribution and the specific surface area of the air-dried coals were measured, since the coal structure properties are thought to influence the self-heating property.
