英文要約In this project, there are two purposes to make the innovative technology in energy and environmental fields practical.
The first purpose is to evaluate the current state of technology seeds.
We evaluate target cost and potential of each technology by model analysis.
Second purpose is to extract bottlenecks for practical use.
We consider domestic and overseas PJ trends and discuss in the committee.

In 2018, the following research was conducted.

(1)Visualization of CO2 emissions by sector
Japan's total CO2 emissions in fiscal 2016 were 1.20 billion tons.
The major emission sectors are transportation, chemistry, steel, ceramics, electricity.

(2)Visualization of CO2 emissions by process
CO2 emissions for each process were clarified,especially for industries with high CO2 emissions.

(3)Analysis of technology for greatly reducing CO2 emissions
Focusing on major CO2 emission factors in the high-emission sector,alternative technologies to reduce emissions were identified.
It was found that four areas;hydrogen, CCUS, renewable energy / energy storage, and power electronics have great potential for reducing CO2 emissions.

(4)Identification of bottleneck issues
In order to expand the use of hydrogen, we first clarified the needs;costs and quantities of hydrogen users and clarified the hydrogen supply target.
In addition, it was revealed that two basic information are important in realizing a hydrogen society.
The first is the organization of information on purity.
The second is the organization of LCA information that is essential for achieving effective CO2 reduction.
