Purpose Contents and outline of project:
India became the world's fifth largest energy consumption county, behind the United States, China, Russia and Japan, by the rapid increase in energy consumption due to the rapid economic development.

Energy consumption per GDP is expected to show a high level of increase in the future while policy development for energy consumption efficiency is progressing.

On the other hand, power outages are frequently occurred due to the fact that supply and demand gap is 12 percent, not catching up with the construction of the power plant to the rapid economic development with its difficulty to build a transmission network that supplies power to the whole broad country of India.

Although the vast majority of power plans to rely on coal-fired power, which accounts for 67% in the power generation ratio, the increase in CO2 emissions impacts on the climate change problem and is a concern.

Under such a situation, the Indian government is expected to create promotion plan for introduction of renewable energy in near future and to form a large market to deploy the solar power generation capacity 20,000 MW by 2022 as example.

As a result of consultation between Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) and NEDO, the aim of this project is defined as “Demonstration for the model project for a micro-grid system using large-scale PV power generation and related technologies (India)” to take advantage of Japan's solar power generation technology and the combination of quality and stabilization techniques and demand monitoring of the micro-grid supply.

Specific business content is to build a power supply system, consisting of the solar power generation system (5MW for system interconnection) and micro-grid system (1MW for tenant companies) as total of 6MW by performing stable power supply to the line in Neemrana Industrial Park in Rajasthan, demonstrating the following.

1. Demonstration of stable power supply technology
2. Energy saving by the micro-grid control technology
3. Demonstration of the effectiveness of the latest solar panels in Japan

Completed work in 2017:
 In fiscal 2017, lecture and supervise for 1MW Kyocera solar panel installation was carried out in April and May, and solar power plant has been operated commercially from 10th July.
