To realize high-safety, large-scaled energy storage devices, such as electric vehicles, solvent-free battery systems using polyether-based solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) were investigated. In this research and development program, two topics for investigation were proposed.
(a) Introduction of anion trapping materials for SPEs
(b) Hybridization of SPEs and inorganic electrolytes

In this FY, we prepared flexible and smooth electrolyte films consisted of polyether-based SPE and boric anion trapping materials. And, we succeeded the anionic transference number measurement by low-frequency impedance measurements.
Moreover, hybrid solid electrolyte film consisted of polyether-based SPE and inorganic solid electrolyte powder was sufficiently prepared. Interfacial resistances at Li metal electrode were decreased by adding inorganic materials.
