Technology Development Project on Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence Evolving Together With Humans

Project overview

Project period: FY2020 to FY2024, FY2022 budget: 2.44 billion yen (FY2023)

What kind of image do you have of AI/ artificial intelligence, which has become a significant topic? Some people consider it as "technology that enriches our lives," while many others may feel "anxious" or "fearful."
This project aims to bring AI/ artificial intelligence from strangers to "friends" who understand and trust each other inside and out. To achieve this goal, NEDO will make AI more accessible technology by, first, improving the explanatory nature of AI output, second, clarifying the concept of quality assurance for AI systems, and third, making AI systems easily constructable without the need to collect large amounts of data.
In this project, NEDO will address the challenges in the areas shown below by building an "AI system in which humans and AI interact to grow and evolve together."
