Project for International Promotion and Dissemination of Advanced Thermal Power Generation Technologies

The goal of this project is to verify the effectiveness of Japan's advanced thermal power generation technology and promote its diffusion by cooperating with foreign governments and companies as necessary to implement the following activities: (1) Cooperative Demonstration Project on High-Efficiency Coal Utilization Technology and (2) Project to Promote the Introduction of Advanced Thermal Power Generation Technology.

(1) Cooperative Demonstration Project on High-Efficiency Coal Utilization Technology

This project involves cooperating with counterparts, including governmental entities, on projects for which an intergovernmental agreement has been reached to pursue system building and other efforts aimed at diffusing Japan's advanced clean coal technologies.

(2) Project to Promote the Introduction of Advanced Thermal Power Generation Technology

The aim of this project is to invite or dispatch experts and policy makers in order to transfer operations and maintenance (O&M) technology, collect and communicate information, and otherwise achieve collaboration between the public and private sectors to help government agencies, power companies, and other players in foreign countries gain a greater understanding of Japan's advanced technologies.
